Set up Your Space
Find a suitable place where you think you will be able to meditate without any disturbance. It is a good idea to opt for a quiet and uncluttered place. Choose a Convenient Time
The best time to meditate is when your mind is relaxed. For beginners, the ideal time is in the morning as soon as you get up. Often, this is the time when your mind is calm and fresh, unlikely to be pre-occupied with other tasks.
Make it a practice to spend some time for meditation even before you check your phone or computer. You might consider washing your face if you think it will help you freshen up.
Take Deep Breaths

Find the Right Posture
Most people opt for the cross-legged position when they meditate. However, there is no need to worry if you are not comfortable with this posture. It is important that you are comfortable with whatever posture you opt for. Some meditators just focus on sitting with their back straight and legs resting on the ground. If you find this difficult, you can keep a cushion or pillow resting on a wall and lean on it. You might have to try out different positions to determine what posture keeps you comfortable. Once you are done with this, try not to move around too much unless you are in pain.
You can also choose a comfortable chair or bed for you to meditate on. It all depends on what works best for you.
